This homily explores how capitalism leads us to believe that we live in a world with infinite resources, and how this affects how we treat people, and our planet.

This month the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Montclair, New Jersey, where I attend, is focusing on the theme of beauty. Beauty is everywhere, especially in nature.
“God Matters” - led by the Rev. Abhi Janamanchi, who will share his own journey with God and how it has impacted his own learning and growth. Janamanchi currently serves as senior minister of Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church in Bethesda, Maryland. Born and raised in Southern India, Abhi moved to the United States in 1994. He is a third-generation member of the Brahmo Samaj, a Unitarian Hindu reform movement with ties to Unitarian Universalism and he graduated from Meadville Lombard Theological School in 1998 and received an honorary doctorate from Meadville Lombard in 2018.
