Share a Remembrance
We are living in troubled times and we all need care from time to time. You can light a candle, request pastoral care, find support from the care team, or honor our community’s joys and sorrows. Do not bear the burden alone. We are here for each other.
Candles of Remembrance
Sharing Remembrances in Worship works best when we share our souls’ yearnings with the worship leader before Sunday morning. If you would like to have this Sunday’s worship leader share your request aloud during the pastoral prayer, you may do so by submitting the form. This will also light a candle on our website.

Bernadette Clemente DeSouza Rittner
Jennifer Rittner lit a candle and shared, “My beloved mother, Bernadette Clemente DeSouza Rittner, became an ancestor 1 year ago on June 23. She was an extraordinary and extraordinarily complicated person who sought love, beauty, and care, and tried to create as much of the same as she could in the time she had with us. I love her more than I ever said. May her passing remind me to be better.”

Social Justice Coalition and our congregation
Dana Moore lit a candle of joy and gratitude for the Social Justice Coalition and our congregation. Thanks to your support and contributions, the Bloomfield Township Martin Luther King Season of service exceeded its goal of 1,000 hygiene and care kits distributed to families, schools, Montclair Mutual Aid, MESH and local food shelters throughout Essex County.
