Share a Remembrance
We are living in troubled times and we all need care from time to time. You can light a candle, request pastoral care, find support from the care team, or honor our community’s joys and sorrows. Do not bear the burden alone. We are here for each other.
Candles of Remembrance
Sharing Remembrances in Worship works best when we share our souls’ yearnings with the worship leader before Sunday morning. If you would like to have this Sunday’s worship leader share your request aloud during the pastoral prayer, you may do so by submitting the form. This will also light a candle on our website.
Our Joys and Sorrows

Labor Day
We light this candle in recognition of Labor Day Sunday. Labor Day is observed on the first Monday in September to pay tribute to the contributions and achievements of everyday working families. The first Labor Day holiday was celebrated in New York City on Tuesday, September 5, 1882. Following the deaths of 13 workers during the Pullman Strike in June of 1894. May all who labor know not only the weight but also the merit of their contributions.

Zoe Grace Carlton MacKay
John and Lauren Carlton light a candle of joy and share, “Our beautiful granddaughter Zoe Grace Carlton MacKay was born August 31. Everyone is well. Parents are predictably tired and we are in Massachusetts helping out.”
