Share a Remembrance
We are living in troubled times and we all need care from time to time. You can light a candle, request pastoral care, find support from the care team, or honor our community’s joys and sorrows. Do not bear the burden alone. We are here for each other.
Candles of Remembrance
Sharing Remembrances in Worship works best when we share our souls’ yearnings with the worship leader before Sunday morning. If you would like to have this Sunday’s worship leader share your request aloud during the pastoral prayer, you may do so by submitting the form. This will also light a candle on our website.

Stephen Wayne Murphy
We lit a candle for the family and friends of Stephen Wayne Murphy, longtime member of this congregation who passed away on August 12, 2021. At his memorial service on August 21, 2021, all present spoke of Stephen as a connector, a mensch, one who brought people together across distance - a powerful legacy.

Albert Pelham
We lit a candle for the family and friends of Albert Pelham, knowing that this light also shines for the entire community of Montclair, as we have all lost a powerful advocate for justice, a longtime NAACP leader, and a friend to those fighting for a better world. Albert Pelham has died. His legacy continues.
